Siddhi Dhavale, head of AMNET, Dentsu Aegis Network
Siddhi Dhavale heads Dentsu Aegis Network’s trading desk AMNET and is primarily responsible for defining its regional programmatic strategy and deployment. Dhavale has over 13 years’ experience in digital media, having worked with brands such as General Motors, Mastercard, Microsoft, Kellogg’s, Standard Chartered bank, du telecom, Dubai Holding and Emirates Airlines. She started her career with OMD UAE back in 2006, where she grew from manager to associate director of digital planning, spending seven years with the company. She then worked with MediaCom before joining Dentsu Aegis Network in 2014.
Outside of work, Dhavale is an amateur pastry chef-in-waiting, a Crank-fiend and the surest way to get into her good books is to ask about her dogs, Malti and Lola.

Always pass on what you have learned, pay it forward, continually.

Find what it is you like to do and talk to people who are doing it. Build a credible space for yourself in what you want to do and carry your weight.
What’s the most rewarding thing about your job?
The sense of knowing that my role is creating value for my clients and adding to the bottom-line of my organization is rewarding and inspires me to excel at what I do. My job offers me freedom and flexibility in the leadership role that I play. I have a team who I trust and who trust me in return, which means we are constantly producing great work, innovating and building stronger futures for ourselves and our clients.
What’s the most frustrating thing about your job?
The fallacy that lots of meetings = higher efficiency, which I find counterproductive.
If not this, what would you be doing?
I would like to get involved in Agri-Tech innovations that are pushing the boundaries to propel us toward a food-secure future.
If you had ten million dollars, what would you do?
Start my own Agri-Tech initiative, and while doing so, travel the rest of the world.
Finally, why are you (still) in this industry?
Our industry is constantly evolving and the pace of innovation is both impressive and dizzying. Can you think of another industry that facilitates more online requests a day? Of course it comes with its own set of complexities but that’s what makes it even more exciting… to wade through those challenges and deliver brilliant outcomes.
