What’s the best advice you have received in your career?
Don’t take things personally.
What’s the best advice you have given in your career?
You only deserve what you have the guts to ask for.
Easier said than done, of course. I’m still working on living by my own advice.
What’s the most rewarding thing about your job?
Winning a pitch. The market is very competitive so when you get awarded a business because of solid effort, strategic thinking, teamwork and the ability to present your ideas it’s an amazing feeling.
And the adrenaline is great.
What’s the most frustrating thing about your job?
Timesheets (LOL!). Not having enough time to perfect anything – there is never enough time in advertising.
If not this, what would you be doing?
I would have loved to go into photography professionally. Specifically, to work in photojournalism.
If you had ten million dollars, what would you do?
I’d make another ten million dollars.
Finally, why are you (still) in this industry?
Because it’s a very good school: working in a high-pressure environment that exposes you to a variety of industries, and demands excellent communication and problem solving skills.
