Kareem Demian, group director – media, Zenith

Born and raised in the UAE, Kareem Demian is an experienced results-driven and focused integrated media and marketing professional with 14 years of experience across multiple industries and leading brands across the MENA region.

He started his career with OSN’s Showtime moving on to join Publicis’ then Starcom MediaVest group in 2005. He has held several roles across the group and its agencies with a focus on business transformation and development proven through an extensive track record in growing businesses through creative and data-led solutions.

What’s the best advice you have received in your career?

Opportunities don’t just sit there waiting for you. You have to create them and go after them.

What’s the best advice you have given in your career?

Make sure to learn something new everyday.

What’s the most rewarding thing about your job?

Seeing brands and people grow while knowing that you contributed to their success.

What’s the most frustrating thing about your job?

Sometimes, I just wish that there were more than 24 hours per day.

If not this, what would you be doing?

A regular 9 to 6 job that my mind can’t visualize.

If you had ten million dollars, what would you do?

I would be a Gondolier in Venice.
