OMD has won the global media mandate for Mercedes as part of a global review, report industry sources.
In the region, OMD works with another automotive client i.e. Nissan, and it is unclear at this point how the new global appointment will play out in the region.
At the time of writing this, neither of the regional offices for OMD nor Mercedes had responded to our request for comment.
In February 2018, Mercedes-Benz has appointed Publicis Groupe as its global agency network for creative and digital transformation. The assignment covered 40 markets worldwide – excluding the US, Germany and China.
To be clear, Omnicom Media Group – not OMD specifically – won the pitch.
