Award night at the Festival of Media MENA

 

The Festival of Media MENA awards went off with a bang. The MusicHall was a full house of industry personalities who had great things to say about the MENA region’s first ever Festival of Media.

Jumping right in with the night’s biggest awards, the Grand Prix Award for Agency of the Year went to Initiative UAE. Additionally, the agency took home individual campaign awards for the Mobily “World Cup – 5th participation” campaign, which won two Golds for the Best Engagement Strategy category and the Best Social Media Strategy category, and two Silvers. Initiative also received accolades for the California Garden’s “Fava Beans the New Super Food” campaign, winning the Gold for the Best Communications Strategy category and a Bronze.

Network of the Year went to Mindshare MENA. Celebrating throughout the Festival of Media, Mindshare MENA had the most nominations across the board with Tunisie Telecom’s “Keep Our Beaches Clean,” a campaign that took home three Bronzes, two Silvers, a Gold for The Effectiveness Award category and the Grand Prix for Campaign of the Year. In total, Mindshare MENA cleaned up with 14 awards, by far the most handed out all night.

Other notable wins include OMD MENA’s Gold in the Best Use of Mobile category and Silver in the Smart Use of Data category for “du’s Business Roaming Pack”. And Havas Media Middle East won two Silvers for their Emirates “#Alltimegreats” campaign for the Best Entertainment Platform category and the Best Use of Digital Media category.

Best Communications Strategy
