Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Asia’s television provider, has launched the Arabic channel “Zee Film Hindi,” dedicated entirely to Indian cinema.
Deriving its name from an old Arabic phrase that refers to Hindi movies in the 1980s, “Film Hindi” caters to Indian cinema fans across the Middle East.
According to a statement by Zee Entertainment, the channel has a repertoire of over 500 movie titles, featuring up to 1,500 hours of entertainment for viewers, per year. “Film Hindi” will also look to create original content in due course.
The channel will go live on October 1 and will be transmitted from Dubai, with an operational office in KSA. It can be accessed through Arabsat Badr4 on frequency 12111.
