Chris Whitelaw started his career with Dentsu Aegis Network’s iProspect as chief operating officer in 2012, and was promoted to chief executive after only nine months. His new role as President of EMEA and global commercial director will see him leading 42 offices and over 1,700 experts.
“Our clients are also seeing the global opportunity, and are looking to agencies like ourselves to help them drive value across the board, and not just regionally,” he says, commenting that he has witnessed the company grow rapidly, both in the UK and globally, in the four years since joining.
“On the ground knowledge is still important, but I’m looking forward to helping our 71 global teams work together to drive ever greater value for our clients, and our network as a whole,” he adds.
Whitelaw will report to global president Ben Wood, who feels that having more experience and capability in key international roles is crucial.
“Chris has worked tirelessly to build iProspect UK over the past four years, now one of the largest businesses in our network,” Wood says.
“We have to join up the dots and identify ways to deliver value on a global scale – a skill which Chris will undoubtedly bring to the global team, as he leaves the UK business in great shape and in safe hands,” he adds.
