UM MENAT has appointed Jad Chababi as General Manager, UAE. Chababi previously headed J3 MENA and joined the agency in 2014 as regional business director of the unit, where he helped to consolidate the Johnson and Johnson media business by winning the digital and social verticals of the brand, and expanded the remit of the Dubai team to include new markets in Africa and Turkey.
Chababi has also demonstrated his leadership and managerial skills by playing a pivotal role in leading the transformation of MCN Mediabrands operations in Turkey.
Previously, Antoine Challita headed the Dubai operation as general manager and, according to industry sources, is leaving the agency for a new role at Snap MENA. Chababi’s remit, however, covers the entire UAE.
Chababi will replace Antoine Challita, who will be moving to a new role at Snap MENA.
