J. Walter Thompson’s new campaign for Zain Kuwait gives Instagram a new spin by using the layout to create an “InstaBook” for children. The book, Zain and the Stars, comprises 156 pictures with an Arabic storyline.
The agency explains that this new format allows parents to “be the heroes of any bored moment” as they can now use their smartphones – Instagram, more specifically – as a storybook.
By choosing a social platform as the medium for a storybook, “the initiative marries the time-honored tradition of storytelling with the digital world that young children are born into today,” adds the agency.
Twelve more Arabic InstaBooks are scheduled to follow.
