Emma Clark, event director of Action Impact has become the first event professional in the region to achieve the global qualification of Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) awarded by the International Special Events Society.
Since 1993, the CSEP qualification has provided global recognition to event professionals who have successfully demonstrated the knowledge, skills and ability to carry out all the components that contribute to a successful special event around the world. Rebecca Wilson, President of ILEA Middle East, the regions’ affiliate chapter of the Society, says, “I am thrilled that Emma and Action Impact have taken the initiative and invested the time to achieve this first. It’s our aim to encourage more people to sign up, which in turn helps to strengthen the perception of events as a profession in its’ own right, not to mention the positive impact on an individuals’ career”.
“Mike Wain and Adrian Bell and the team at Action Impact supported me as I studied for the qualification,” says Clark, who has had over ten years of experience producing all kinds of events. “I had to use both my practical knowledge gained from learning on the job, to flesh out the theory, and the exam was very tough,” she adds.
Emma’s achievement means that her abilities have been benchmarked against the best in the world, and it also reflects the qualities that are at the heart of Action Impact’s philosophy.
