ARY Network, the publishers of Newsweek Middle East appoint the rights to the weekly magazine to IAS Media.

The inaugural issue of Newsweek Middle East featuring His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on the cover was unveiled on Tuesday by His Highness, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minster of Culture, Youth and Community Development and His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at a dinner ceremony in Dubai.

In a message from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to the publishers of Newsweek, ARY Network , he said of the launch: “First and foremost let me congratulate you on the publication of the first regional edition of the Newsweek. There is no doubt that today we need serious magazines, hard media and neutral analysis. We need to convey the region’s point of view to the world in a balanced way and the world’s point of view to the region in an honest way. I wish you success on this mission, which I won’t call impossible, but rather full of challenges.”

Newsweek Middle East is the first of its kind, as of the only international news publications to have its editorial staff based in the region itself. The magazine is now available on news stands and will be distributed throughout the Gulf region.
