Tell a joke, get a Schnitzel

McDonald’s UAE’s campaign launch for its latest offering, the Schintzel, is a clever little gimmick. On January 16, visitors can walk into its JBR store (only) in Dubai, walk up to the cashier, tell a “Why did the chicken cross the road?” joke and receive a free Schintzel until stocks last.

Walid Fakih, general manager at McDonald’s UAE says: “We are constantly innovating to provide new experiences and products and we take great care to serve quality, great-tasting menu items to our customers each and every time they visit our restaurants. The new Schnitzel is sure to be a hit with customers: it’s unique, tasty and easy to eat on the go, introducing a completely new way of eating chicken.” “We also wanted to launch the Schnitzel in a fun and irreverent way that serves to cheer people up during the notorious ‘January Blues’ season’. A joke in exchange for a free Schnitzel felt like the perfect match – a delicious treat in return for a timeless comedy classic.”
