The platform set the time frame from 15.04.2020 till 15.04.2021 and made a list of the fastest growing TikTok accounts in the UAE.

In the past year TikTok has experienced a surge in its user base as many needed treated the platform as an escape from the realities of the lockdown and the pandemic, worldwide. In the UAE, the core TikTok audience are male and between the age group of 18 and 34 years old (58.54%). Hypeauditor noted this as atypical because compared to the UAE, the core audience in the rest of the world are females between the age group of 13 and 24 years old. The past 12 months has also noted an increase in the number of users between 18 and 24 years old (30.98%).
Diving deeper into these insights, Hypeauditor analyzed the average yearly growth rate of the influencers' accounts to understand what are the most trending categories in the UAE.

The average 12 month growth for all TikTok influencers in UAE is 267% but some categories gained more followers. These insights will enable brands focused on these categories to better develop, relevant campaigns for their userbase and possibly even, collaborate with the top UAE influencers in these categories to make a stronger connection. But the question remains, is there a pure form of engagement between a TikTok influencer and their fans? Well, we asked that same question to Hypeauditor and these are the results -
Engagement Rate or ER is a commonly used benchmark of success on TikTok as it can determine if an influencer is connecting with their audience. Hypeauditor identifies engagement rate as (Likes + Comments + Shares divided by Views number.) The average enagement rate with TikTok influencers in the UAE (20.04%) is higher than the rest of the world (15.86%). This means that TikTok audience in the UAE is more engaged in influencer’s content in the UAE.
With such promising numbers, it would be crazy for a brand not to try out a small campaign or two on the platform to see what kind of engagement they can achieve.
